The livery is math, not a decal
Every edge is a shader, not a sticker.
The hard split between violet and volt lime, the pinstripe along each edge, the halftone dots fading out of the stripe: none of it is a painted texture or a flat decal wrapped onto the shell. It is a real Cycles node shader, built from the helmet’s own geometry, so the color blocks bend and catch light exactly the way real paint would follow a real surface.
That is also why the split falls exactly on the seam between the shell and the peak: two separate real objects in the source mesh, used as the hard edge instead of faking one with a mask.

Seam, not a seam painted on
Two colors, one honest edge.
The peak and the shell are two real parts of the source mesh. The livery split lands right where they meet, so the graphic reads as construction, not decoration dropped on top of it.
