Field log, sector 7
Logged on site
Mud has
memory.
TX‑1, logged on site. Boots planted in real displaced dirt, under a real low sun, no backdrop in the frame.
Sector mark
36°08' N / 115°14' W

Plate 01 / full body, as shot
Entry 02 / real terrain, not a backdrop
The dirt is not
a backdrop.
Every other piece in this family stands on a near‑black studio floor. This one doesn’t. The ground is a real displaced mesh, pushed and pitted by an actual height map until it holds ridges, grit and a patch of darker mud right where the boots land, not a flat plane with a photo of dirt stretched across it. The sky above it is a real atmospheric model, sun and all, not a studio dome swapped for a sky‑colored one.
The low, warm light raking across that surface is what actually carves out the grit: the same reason real outdoor product photography favors a low sun over a flat midday one. Nothing here is a gradient laid over a clean render afterward.

Specimen 02
Tread detail, macro
Every lug does real work.
The deep lug channels, the welt seam, the mud actually caught between them: shot low and close, the way a mechanic or a hiker would check a sole, not the way a catalog photo flatters one.
